Mobility Center Burgenland

a service of the Regional Government of Burgenland

The tasks of "b-mobil.info" go far beyond the regional timetable and ticket price information of the public transport. The Mobility Center Burgenland is a contact point for all topics related to public transport - for individual persons, but also for kindergartens or schools, senior citizen associations, companies, community representatives, transport companies and institutions. It also fulfills organizational, coordinative and traffic planning tasks. In the field of mobility management, it is an interface between customers, transport operators and politicians.

Since its founding in 2006, the Mobility Center Burgenland has also acted as a regional service center for climate-friendly mobility and a center of competence for the handling of EU-funded mobility projects. These include, among other things, the promotion and expansion of regional as well as cross-border traffic, but also the promotion of climate-friendly transport in tourism.

The tasks of the Mobility Center Burgenland are manifold. You can find more information about the individual projects and our current activities on our website – enjoy browsing!

An overview of our current projects

SMART Pannonia

The aim of the SMART Pannonia project "Sustainable Mobility and Accessibility for Regional Transport in Burgenland - Western Hungary" is to make the region of Burgenland / West Hungary tangible again as a common functional region through sustainable mobility and regional accessibility.

CYCLEWALK

With the CYCLEWALK project, the participating cities and regions want to focus more on the needs of cyclists and pedestrians. Thereby, planning and decision-making processes should be adapted so that the needs of cyclists and pedestrians will be better taken into account in the future.

You can find more information on the project website: https://www.interregeurope.eu/cyclewalk/

CONNECT2CE

CONNECT2CE is working to further develop cross-border public transport accessibility. Doing this, the cross-border, legal and planning prerequisites, fundamentals, necessary measures and competencies are developed.

Transdanube.Pearls

The Transdanube.Pearls project has set itself the goal of creating a network of cities, towns and regions along the Danube that offers sustainable forms of mobility in tourism. The aim is to enable guests to enjoy an eco-friendly journey along the Danube or to destinations in the Danube region without a car.

You can find more information on the project website: http://www.interreg-danube.eu/approved-projects/transdanube-pearls

CrossBorder Rail

At present, there are very few cross-border rail lines between AT-HU, although these are key elements of climate-friendly mobility. Improved / faster accessibility through rail connections between tertiary nodes (Neusiedl / See, Kapuvár) and secondary nodes (such as Sopron, Györ) of the border area towards TEN-T corridor and improved accessibility between Jennersdorf -Szentgotthárd are the overall project objectives.
